Climate protection can already be taken for granted in the construction of new buildings – but how can a historic building dating from 1870 contribute to protecting the environment and climate? The Musikverein has addressed this question intensively, and as a result of these efforts, the Musikverein has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. The Musikverein uses 100% green electricity throughout the year, energy-efficient lighting and optimised heating and cooling systems.

Fokus Klima: Zero?
In its programme focus ‘Focus on Climate: Zero?’, the Musikverein goes one step further: The event meets the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events. This certification is awarded to events that implement special measures to be as climate-friendly as possible. Environmental standards are implemented particularly consistently – for example, by producing all printed materials in the most environmentally friendly way possible, or the special requirements of our catering service.
