The intimacy of the small form

To the Programme
The musical experience in chamber music is particularly direct, concentrated and immediate, also on an emotional level.

Small ensembles – big impact

Historically at home in private salons, chamber music thrives on intimacy and direct interaction. Small ensembles create a special closeness between musicians and audience, which can be experienced ideally in the Brahms Hall.

Approachable, personal, immediate

The transparency of the small form makes the precise interplay visible and allows the audience to experience spontaneous reactions up close. This makes chamber music a particularly direct, concentrated and emotionally immediate musical experience.
